Research links
The ACFR participates in two programs intended to promote and facilitate interaction between robotics researchers within Australia and overseas.
- ARC Research Network in Robotics
This network (RNR) brings together all the best robotics research groups in Australia with the aim of fostering and coordinating cooperative research, providing a major focus of national research strength and becoming an exciting exemplar for the application of advanced technology in Australian industries. The RNR draws together researchers from diverse fields including machine perception, sensing, control, artificial intelligence and mechatronics. The RNR is currently supported by the ARC Research Networks programme, funded by the Australian Research Council (ARC) - Overseas Linkages Program (OLP)
The OLP can provide support for eminent international researchers to visit Australia to undertake collaborative research or teaching, and to support similar visits from Australia. The OLP is administered by the ACR Centre of Excellence for Autonomous Systems (CAS).
